AUSTIN, TX — The League of Women Voters of Texas has published its nonpartisan 2024 General Election Voters Guide, which can be found on VOTE411.org, at LWVTexas.org, and in libraries and other public places across Texas!
VOTE411.org will let Texas voters:
- Enter their address to see the national and statewide races and candidates on their ballots, compare candidate responses to unbiased questions posed by the League, and create a print-out of their choices to take to the polls.
- If there is a local League in the area, voters can also find information on local races and candidate forums.
- Check their registration status and see polling places and times.
In order for these resources to reach as many voters as possible, we are providing the Guide and its information in various formats and languages:
- VOTE411.org presents the statewide races in four languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
- At LWVTexas.org, the easily-readable, printable, web-friendly PDF version of the Guide will be available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
- English and Spanish versions of the printed Voters Guide are being distributed to over 300 libraries, food banks and other locations across Texas.
Joyce LeBombard, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas, emphasized that “The presidential race has warranted a lot of attention, but it is important that for all national, state and local races, voters look beyond personalities, media hype and misinformation. Our trusted Voters Guide will let Texans know where the candidates stand on the issues that are most important to them.
I want to emphasize that the League does not support or oppose any political parties or candidates. All candidates on the ballot in the races covered by the League are invited and encouraged to participate in our Guide. The League publishes the candidates’ responses to our questions without editing so that voters are ready to cast their ballots with knowledge and confidence.
We want Texans to use this valuable publication and share the Guide with neighbors, friends, co-workers and organizations. And then, get out and vote!”
