AUSTIN, TX — VOTE411.org, the League of Women Voters’ online, interactive Voters Guide, is live with information on runoff races and candidates in both the Democratic and Republican party primaries in Texas.
Using VOTE411.org, Texas voters can:
- Enter their address to see the races and candidates on their ballots, including any runoff elections in their districts for:
- U.S. House of Representatives;
- State Board of Education;
- Texas Senate and House; and
- Court of Appeals.
- Compare candidate responses to unbiased questions posed by the League and create a print-out of their choices to take to the polls.
- Check their registration status and see polling places and times.
At LWVTexas.org, the easily readable, printable, web-friendly PDF version of the Guide covering the State Board of Education runoff elections and other voter information will be available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
“While there are no national or statewide races on the ballot for this runoff election, there are many important races that will have a big impact on who will represent our state in Congress and who will govern our state. We want all Texans to learn about the candidates and participate in either the Democrat or Republican primaries, or at a Green or Libertarian party convention. The League does want to remind Texans that if they participated in one party’s March 5th primary election, they can only vote in that party’s May 28th runoff election. But if they did not participate in either the Democratic or Republican primary election, they can still vote in either party’s May 28th runoff election or attend a Green or Libertarian party convention.“ said Joyce LeBombard, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas.
